About the event

Join us on International Women’s Day for an event to celebrate the positive impact of female apprentices in the workplace and how apprenticeships work for women.

The event, taking place during National Apprenticeship Week 2018, will hear from high profile names in business, politics and society and from apprentices themselves.

It will bring attention to the benefits of apprenticeships to employers and business leaders, demonstrate how apprenticeships can lead to management careers for women and continue to press the case for more to be done on gender inequality in the workplace among apprentice employers.

Teachers from the Apprenticeship Champions Network and apprentices will also be in attendance and will discuss what more can be done to encourage women into well paid apprenticeships with great career opportunities.

As we are in the National Gallery, we will also be joined by a leading art historian who will talk about women in the Gallery’s collection.

The hashtags for the event will be #NAW2018, #IWD2018 and #PressForProgress.
