Executive Director and Chief Executive
Nicki has led the Group’s operational activity since 2007. Through her passion and flair she has successfully grown our portfolio of services and firmly established the Group’s reputation as a market leading specialist, helping businesses succeed and grow, as well as being recognised as one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For. In April 2017 Nicki took over the reins as Chief Executive where she continues to lead by example and champions the Group’s talented workforce.
Her previous experience has been in international sales, marketing, new product development in the FMCG sector, retail banking and business consultancy.
Nicki is also Chair of Governors at a local school.
Director and Executive Chairman
Alastair launched BE Group as Chief Executive in April 2007, since when the Group has established its reputation as one of the UK's most innovative and successful employee owned businesses.
Alastair is now the Group's Executive Chairman and as well as providing strategic support to the Board and management team, he has a particular focus on building the Group's media portfolio.
Before joining the Group he worked in newspapers and media related businesses across the UK for almost twenty years, leading publishing businesses for Trinity Mirror plc and the Daily Mail and General Trust Group.
Alastair is also Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Teesside University Board of Governors.
Non Executive Director
Geoff’s broad management background underlines his wealth of knowledge across a wide number of business disciplines. He worked in sales and marketing before becoming Chief Executive of the Federation Brewery and has all round experience of starting, running and selling a number of businesses.
His non executive director roles include North East Access to Finance, Port of Blyth, Inn Collection, SITS Group. Geoff is also Deputy Chair of the Community Foundation for Tyne & Wear and Northumberland.
Non Executive Director and Group Operations Director
Through her position as Employee Director and Chair of the BE-UK Employee Ownership Trust company, Suzanne represents the Trust and its beneficiaries on the BE-UK Board.
Suzanne has 10 years' experience of successfully designing, mobilising and managing business support and advisory contracts, ensuring key objectives are achieved and services are delivered in an innovation and ambitious way. As Group Operations Director, she leads the Group's operational activity and the development of new, exciting initiatives.
Suzanne has also been a trustee for Age UK Northumberland.
